Tile drafting

Kingdomino

Domino-shaped landscape pieces form a personal kingdom. Choosing a desirable piece also affects your position in a later selection, connecting the immediate placement puzzle to the order in which future opportunities become available.

What to watch for

Watch how tiles are arranged for selection and how a choice sets the next order. Then follow the placement restrictions and the relationship between connected terrain and crowns. An example without crowns can be especially useful when explaining why a large region may not score as expected.

At your first table

Before play, confirm the setup and tile supply for your player count. Show the allowed kingdom dimensions and explain what happens when a selected piece cannot be placed. At the end, score one region at a time and keep any optional bonus rules separate from the base explanation. Try a rematch once everyone understands how selection order changes a decision.

A video helps explain the flow. Use the rulebook and official corrections for your copy to resolve a rules question.
